Last-minute site induction tomorrow morning? Subcontract starting at 7 a.m. and the safety officer just asked for your abrasive wheels certificate? You can have one in your phone wallet inside the next hour. This guide walks through the same-day certification path used by hundreds of Irish operators every week.
How same-day certification actually works
- You buy a seat on the Abrasive Wheels Course (EUR 35, payment by card or Google/Apple Pay).
- You log into the platform straight from the confirmation email.
- You work through 11 short modules at your own pace - average 50 minutes for an experienced operator, 70 minutes first time.
- You take the assessment - 20 questions, 70 percent pass mark, immediate feedback.
- You download your HSA-compliant PDF certificate the moment the result registers.
Total time from payment to certificate-in-hand: typically under 75 minutes.
What you need before you start
- A phone, tablet or laptop with internet.
- A quiet 60 to 75 minutes (you can pause and resume if interrupted).
- Your full legal name as it appears on your photo ID (the certificate will use this name).
- A valid email address.
- EUR 35 on a card.
The certificate
You get a single-page PDF that includes:
- Your full name.
- The course title and version.
- Issue date and three-year expiry.
- A unique certificate number.
- HSA-compliant, RoSPA-approved, CPD-certified, QQI-aligned badges.
- A QR code linking to the public verification page.
Will it be accepted at site induction tomorrow?
Every Irish main contractor accepts our certificate. The QR code on the PDF lets the safety officer verify it in 30 seconds at our public verification page. We have never had a same-day certificate rejected at induction.
What to do if the assessment doesn't pass first time
Re-sit immediately, free of charge. The course gives you targeted feedback on the questions you missed so you can refresh those modules before the second attempt.
Lost the PDF? No problem
The certificate stays in our system for the life of the certification. Email [email protected] with the certificate number and we re-send within the working day.
Mobile-first design
The course is built for phones first - large text, single-column flow, touch-friendly answer buttons. Most learners complete the entire course on a phone in the welfare cabin or on the bus home.
What if you have a learning need?
The course supports screen readers, includes captions on every video, allows extended question time, and accepts written assessment outputs in plain English. Contact us before you start if you need any specific accommodation and we will configure your seat.
Bulk same-day certification for crews
If a five-person crew needs to be certified before tomorrow morning, contact the team training portal. We can issue access codes within five minutes and your crew can be certificated in parallel.
